What Pouncify is
Pouncify is a free desktop app for Windows and macOS that watches Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp (United States) and Kijiji (Canada) for whatever you are hunting and alerts you within minutes of a fresh local listing — on Telegram, email, Discord, or as a push to the companion iPhone and Android apps. It runs on your own computer, needs no account, and keeps your searches, listings and marketplace logins on that machine.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants to hear about a local listing before everyone else: deal hunters, flippers, someone furnishing a home, someone hunting a used car, bike, camera, GPU, stroller or power tool. Any category people sell for local pickup can be watched. Vehicles are one especially deep category, with make, model, year and price history — not the focus.
How it is different
- It runs on your computer. Cloud alert services run your searches on their servers; Pouncify watches from your own machine and connection, and any login you add stays there.
- Nothing to hand over. No account with us, no password shared. Craigslist, OfferUp and Kijiji need no login, and Facebook Marketplace works without one too; if you choose to sign in to Facebook for more reach, you do it once inside the app and the session never leaves your computer.
- Fresh means fresh. Alerts are gated on the listing's real posting time, and a repost is recognised as the same item, so an alert is worth acting on.
- One search, every marketplace. A single saved search covers all the marketplaces that serve your country, with the same alert channels.
- You set the pace. Schedule, gaps between checks, daily budgets and active hours are yours; the app is designed to keep your marketplace accounts safe.
