Pouncify is a free marketplace alerts app for Windows and macOS. Install it on your computer — that is what does the watching — then pair the free iPhone or Android app for push alerts and checking in from anywhere. No account needed.

Pouncify does the watching on your computer — the phone apps are a companion, so you can check finds, pause a search and get alerts while you're out. Every file of the current release is on the releases page.

Installing on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded Pouncify Setup installer. It installs for your user only — no administrator prompt. The publisher reads Bellvenor LLC.
  2. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen), click More info → Run anyway. See the note below on why this can still appear.
  3. Pouncify starts in the system tray. Open it and follow the built-in setup guide: add a search, pick where alerts go, turn the schedule on.

Installing on macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Pouncify into Applications.
  2. Open it from Applications. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so there is no "unidentified developer" step — a normal first-run prompt is all you see.
  3. Pouncify lives in the menu bar. The built-in setup guide takes it from there.
Why might Windows still warn? The installer is code-signed, so Windows names the publisher instead of "Unknown". The separate SmartScreen prompt is about download reputation, which a new publisher earns over time as more people install; it fades on its own. It is a normal per-user install you can remove like any other app.
Updates Pouncify updates itself in the background on both Windows and macOS. There is nothing to re-download; the tray or menu-bar menu has a "Check for updates" entry if you want to force one.

After installing

The app walks you through everything in a checklist: create your first search (one search covers every marketplace in your region), connect an alert channel (Telegram, email or Discord), review the pacing limits, and switch the schedule on. No marketplace login is needed to start. If you want more reach on Facebook Marketplace, sign in to Facebook once inside the app's browser window; the session stays on your computer.

Pairing your phone

  1. Install the free Pouncify app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. On the desktop, open Settings → Phone & remote and turn phone access on. It shows a QR code.
  3. In the phone app, tap Scan QR code and point it at the screen. That is the whole setup — the phone now shows your listings, alerts and searches, and gets push alerts. No desktop app yet? Tap Explore the demo to try the phone app on sample data.
